Grants for Women If you are a woman and are in need of grant money, it won’t be difficult for you to find the right grant for women. There are a multitude of grants out there. To get them you will need to find the right one to apply for and study the application thoroughly. Here is a sampling of the grants for women that are available. Young women who are studying to be scientists can apply for L’Oreal USA Science Fellowship for Postdoctoral Women. There are also grants for women who find themselves single parents. This grant opportunity is called Raise the Nation, and the money awarded is given directly to the college where the single female parent will be studying. They also help with childcare expenses while mom is attending class. The R.O.S.E. Fund supplies grants for women who are survivors of violence. These grants can be used for continuing education or other things. R.O.S.E. stands for Regaining One’s Self-Esteem. The Girls Global Education Fund is for girls from developing countries to go to primary and high schools. The American Legacy Foundation awards grants to organizations that help women quit smoking. They must have strong support programs to help the women to stay off smoking once they’ve quit. The Alturas International Foundation is for women of third world countries who want to attend universities in the United States of America.
