Technology GrantsTechnology Grants are mainly for but not limited to education using technology to further the classroom experience. There are many foundations that offer technology grants. Check out some of these listed here.AlphaSmart Inc. has a technology grant called the AlphaSmart Grant, money is not awarded, however the one that receives the technology grant receives a cart loaded with fifty- eight thousand dollars worth of technology that can be used in classrooms. The AT&T Foundation gives technology grants where the community and their business interests can come together for common goals to improve the use of technology in the classroom and out. The Beaumont Foundation of America gives out laptop computers and technology materials to schools and organizations in low-income areas. They also give technology grants to individuals. The Community Technology Center’s Network gives free or low cost access to computers and the Internet. Computers for Kids, and Computers for Learning both give computers as technology grants to schools and community organizations that need them, and educate people and children in the continued use of them. The Microsoft Corporation and Community Affairs Foundation gives technology grants of cash, computers, and other technology equipment to further educate kids and people in the use of technology. The NEC Foundation of America gives technology grants of cash to further education of science and technology in high schools. The grants are also for learning to use technology in helping people with disabilities. The SBC Foundation gives cash grants to support ongoing education in the technology fields. The Time Warner Foundation prefers to join in partnerships instead of cash grants. By offering partnership as help, they can supply direction and equipment.
